Kazakhstan's Sovereign Welfare Fund "Samruk-Kazyna" is planning to implement 83 investment projects in the future worth more than $ 51 billion, the fund stated on Wednesday.
"To date, the fund via its principal subsidiaries is engaged in the implementation of 100 investment projects worth more than 81 billion dollars. Additionally, the possibility of realization of other 83 investment projects worth 51.7 billion dollars is being considered now," the statement says.
According to the report, currently, much attention is paid to investing in areas with high growth potential: alternative energy, chemical and petrochemical industry, transportation, infrastructure, engineering, information technologies, innovative projects and the transfer of advanced technology.
"Besides creating large industrial enterprises in traditional sectors, the fund focuses on the development of new activity directions of its subsidiaries related to the development of medium and small projects with the direct participation of entrepreneurs," the statement says.
